The idyllic Allgäu region was the scene of a sporting highlight last weekend: Füchse Berlin, runners-up in the German Handball Bundesliga, faced newly promoted regional league team MTG Wangen in a friendly match. But this preparation game was anything but ordinary. Thanks to an impressive staff initiative, this special test match was an unforgettable experience for professionals and fans alike.

The idea for this special game came from our own ranks! Our energy efficiency analyst Christian Roth, who comes from Wangen in the Allgäu region, had the great idea of inviting the Foxes to Wangen for a friendly match to mark the 175th anniversary of MTG Wangen. One phone call to K&P Marketing in Berlin and everything took its course. Thanks to his initiative and the cooperation between MTG and the Foxes, the plan was put into action. And so the Füchse Berlin professionals suddenly found themselves in the heart of the Allgäu.

Up-close professionals: autographs and selfies with the stars

Not only the game itself was a highlight for MTG fans and players, but also the supporting program that accompanied the visit of the Füchse Berlin. Before the game, there was an autograph session where fans could get up close and personal with their Berlin idols. The professionals took plenty of time to sign autographs, take photos and talk to the fans. This was an unforgettable experience, especially for the younger spectators, which they are sure to remember for a long time to come.

Climate careers up close

The test match provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our commitment. In addition to the players, we also presented ourselves to the fans. At an information stand in the hall, visitors were able to find out about building automation and the exciting career opportunities we offer.

Sold-out hall and great atmosphere

The response to the game was overwhelming. The hall was sold out to the last seat and the atmosphere was great. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the clapping cards sponsored by us, which were loudly used for every goal and could also be used for the signature hunt before and after the game. The Foxes won the game 43:22 and thus recorded their 5th test match victory in a row.

Conclusion: A successful day for handball

The friendly match between Füchse Berlin and MTG Wangen was not only a sporting success, but also a great organizational success. It showed how the initiative and commitment of individuals can create great experiences for many. The Wangen fans experienced their idols up close, the players enjoyed the warm atmosphere and Kieback&Peter's commitment was brought to life in a very special way by the presence of employees and customers from the Stuttgart and Lake Constance branches. A day that we as the main sponsor and all those involved will remember for a long time to come.

Before the game, Christian Roth presented this year's State Garden Show in Wangen to his colleagues and our CEO Christoph Ritzkat and his wife. He gave exciting insights into the highlights of the sustainable exhibition and the special features of the unique exhibition, which is topping all previous visitor records.
