Behind the scenes: Heinrich-Mann-School project day at Kieback&Peter
As part of our cooperation with the Heinrich-Mann-School, a special project day was held at the Mittenwalde plant of Kieback&Peter. The cooperation includes not only state-of-the-art building technology, but also an educational concept. The project day provided practical insights into technical and commercial professions.
As part of the collaboration with Heinrich-Mann-School in Neukölln, the students experienced a special project day at the Mittenwalde plant of Kieback&Peter. The partnership between the school, the Neukölln district, and Kieback&Peter has been in place since 2021 and includes not only the provision of new building technology and CO₂ sensors but also an educational concept. The goal of the concept is to raise awareness among students about climate protection and to make the ecological and economic savings visible.
"The current and pervasive issues of climate protection, health, and digitization are particularly important to us. Our goal is to inspire students for active climate protection and to provide a professional perspective," says Christoph Ritzkat, CEO of Kieback&Peter.
During the project day, we had the opportunity to spark interest in technical and business professions among the students.
Experience everyday work up close
The students gained insights into the workflows of our plant. What is produced in the plant? What are the different stations? What exactly happens in plastic manufacturing?
"We want to offer the students more than just theory. The project day allows them to experience the practice and the lived daily routine at Kieback&Peter. This gives them an authentic insight," emphasizes Rainer Mahling, Business Unit Manager of Solutions and Support Center at Kieback&Peter.
The day included insights into the company and information about the various possibilities for internships and apprenticeships. An exclusive tour of the plant and a shared lunch rounded off the day.
A glance into the future
Kieback&Peter is committed to the intensive optimization of ecological and economic resources to make a sustainable contribution to environmental protection. This commitment is reflected not only in daily work but also in social engagement, such as the partnership with Heinrich-Mann-School. A retrospective look at past actions shows that our initiative to promote climate protection and inform young people through digitization is already bearing fruit.
